On February 25 and 26, a workshop on “Constitution and Human Rights” was held with law students and invited panelists.
On the first day, students had the opportunity to learn more about the right to access public documents, a right guaranteed by the Constitution, presented in detail by znj.Marigona Shabiu from YIHR, who also shared her experiences. Students asked questions and gained further knowledge about the Law on Access to Public Documents. In the second part, Professor Z.Arsim Bajrami joined us to discuss the drafting process of the Constitution, its challenges, and the possibilities for future amendments.
On the second day, students worked on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, where each group illustrated 10 rights that should be guaranteed everywhere. Through creative work, they justified their choices, leading to a discussion among groups. In the second part, students prepared individual “Requests for Access to Public Documents” for institutions.
The workshop aimed to offer a different approach and create a new perspective on the Constitution and Human Rights. Participants had the chance to learn from panelists and apply their knowledge in practice.
We thank all participants and panelists Z.Arsim Bajrami and znj.Marigona Shabiu. We also thank the Dean’s Office for logistical support.
This project “Building a Perspective on the Constitutional Responsibilities of Institutions” is supported by the Office of the Presidency.
