Roundtable held on “The Impact of Corruption in Higher Education and the Legal Framework to Combat It”

For the first time at the Faculty of Law, a roundtable discussion was held on the topic “The Impact of Corruption in Higher Education and the Legal Framework for Combating It,” within the project “The Phenomenon of Corruption in Higher Education from the Perspective of the Students of the Faculty of Law,” implemented by the Ethics Club. The event brought together representatives of various institutions to discuss this phenomenon with students.

Around 80 students participated in the event, and the panelists included: KEFJ Coordinator Mr. Leotrim Pajaziti, Dean of the Faculty of Law Mr. Avni Puka, Vice-Rector for Development and Quality of the University of Prishtina Mr. Elton Bahtiri, Ombudsperson Mr. Naim Qelaj, State Prosecutor from the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor Mr. Besim Kelmendi, and Director of ORCA Mr. Rron Gjinovci.

The event began with an introductory presentation by the KEFJ Coordinator Mr. Pajaziti, who spoke about the Ethics Club, its objectives, and the projects implemented so far. Afterwards, the moderator of the event, Dijellëza Selmani, gave each panelist the opportunity to deliver a short address. At the end of the discussion, certificates and awards were distributed to supporting actors, winners of the best essay competition, and the evaluation committee.
