Meeting with Vice-Rector Majlinda Gjelaj – Dialogue on the new Statute of the University of Prishtina

As part of the activities of the Ethics Club, and within the project “The New Statute of UP: Integrity and Transparency,” the informal group STEP UP held a meeting with the Vice-Rector for Institutional Development, Quality and Student Affairs, Prof. Assoc. Majlinda Gjelaj.

🎯 The purpose of the meeting was to exchange views on current developments at the University, with particular focus on the substantive changes in the new Statute of UP. During the discussion, the importance of student involvement in decision-making processes was emphasized, along with the protection of their rights through mechanisms such as the Ombudsperson, as well as the need to strengthen academic ethics and quality assurance within the institution.

💡 The discussion also addressed new forms of teaching, including the possibility of online or blended learning, as well as the advancement of gender equality and transparency in academic and institutional processes.

🤝 The meeting marked an important step toward strengthening the student voice and encouraging constructive dialogue between institutional representatives and students committed to building a more qualitative, fair, and open university.
